Get Your Building Tenant Ready

First impressions matter. Take the time to get your commercial building in order so that it presents well to prospective tenants.

First, make sure your landscaping is neat and tidy.  You don't have to go crazy, just keeping the lawn mowed and the weeds at bay make a major difference.

Fill in the pot holes in the parking lot.  No one wants to have to maneuver around a parking lot full of pot holes. No one.

Keep common areas of the building clean. Even if the building is completely vacant, make sure the restrooms are clean and ready to use.  It sounds silly, but I've had prospective tenants pass on a building because of the condition of the restrooms.

Keep the vacant office / retail suites broom clean.  If a previous tenant left items behind get rid of them promptly. If the items may be of use to the next tenant, make sure they are positioned neatly.

These small steps will help a prospective tenant feel secure that the building will support their brand/image in the community.

Don't hesitate to add your additional thoughts.

Be well,
Rhonda
