Just say "No!"

It's one little word that means so much.  No.  No.  No.
The word "No" usually gets a bad rap, and it's a word that no one likes to hear.... often.

I may not like the word "No", however there are many times I appreciate it.  When working in any sales oriented profession, you spend a good part of your day reaching out to your prospective customers.  If someone truly isn't interested in my services, I appreciate hearing a definitive "No" for closure. Otherwise, and we've all done it, we spend a lot of time following up, leaving messages, sending emails etc.

On the flip side, it can be hard to say "No".  It can be uncomfortable to tell someone you are not interested in their services.  Put yourself in their shoes and do them a favor.  Be honest.  If you truly need more time to think about it, take the extra time and think about it so you'll have an answer the next time they follow up. But don't string someone along just because you feel bad telling them you aren't interested.

By saying "No" you'll free up their valuable time and yours as well.
And we can all use a little extra time, NO?

As always, I'd love to hear your additional thoughts.

Be well,
Rhonda
